Executive Producer and Director, is a versatile craftsman who, for thirty-five years, has provided thoughtful and quality-driven program-making services as a writer, producer, director, videographer and executive producer for commercial and public television stations, networks, and for freelance projects under the independent banner, Spirit Productions. Credited with approximately 250 broadcast and non-broadcast films and videos, McGuire’s work has garnered over three-dozen industry awards, including Emmys and other prestigious honors. For his national public television projects, he has achieved notable recognition for many science-and-information series, historical documentaries and music/dance/dramatic programs, including three special offerings of PBS’ signature series, Great Performances.
Producer , is a New York City-based director and former associate producer of the award-winning Apple TV+ series, Dickinson. Adelson directs and produces documentaries, narrative films, music videos and commercials through his award-winning company Floor 1 Productions, with selected works playing in film festivals around the world and attracting over 10 million views online. Most recently, his documentary Another Life To Live made its World Premiere at the Oscar-qualifying Hollyshorts Film Festival in Los Angeles and will be playing at San Francisco International Film Festival in April, 2022. Next up will be the release of feature documentary on the Vietnam War, The Misty Experiment, coming to public television this spring. Executive Producer, was the Misty flight surgeon during the Vietnam War after which he returned to his medical practice in San Francisco. This was followed by a Ph.D. at UC Berkeley in Epidemiology. He was Director of Disease Control in San Francisco at the height of the AIDS epidemic and then worked for international health agencies such as UNICEF, WHO, Project Hope, etc. Since he retired, he has had various personal projects such as his War Poetry collection which he donated to the Ransom Center at the University of Texas Austin. http://warpoetry.org Before he completed Danny McGuire’s movie “The Misty Experiment” when Danny became ill, he had also made his own short film based on his experience in Vietnam. https://vimeo.com/345341940
Co-Producer, has been a friend and colleague of McGuire since they were college mates in the 1970s. A Masters' Degree led him to a career with the California Department of Transportation as both Chief of Public & Legislative Affairs and, later, as Chief of Health, Safety & Training. As the principal Information Officer for Caltrans, Greg liaised with local/State media officals and State legislators about State projects and policies, and directed historians, libarians and public media producers in implementing historical documentation of the Bay Area’s Toll Bridge Restoration Project. When time permits, Bayol provides craft services to varied freelance projects under his own media banner, as well as Spirit Productions’.
Principal Videographer, first collaborated with Spirit Productions when serving as film editor for McGuire’s Emmy-winning documentary, The Spirit of Allensworth (PBS, 1978), and has teamed several times since. An excellent editor, Blake shifted his craft energies exclusively to video-lighting and shooting, serving as director of photography for PBS’ highly praised series about microbiology, Intimate Strangers: Unseen Life On Earth. Blake continues to serve 60 Minutes, 60 Minutes II, Dateline, Good Morning America, and various Travel Channel and Discovery Channel documentaries as a contributing cameraman.
Graphics & Design, has over 20 years experience in creative development for advertising campaigns, marketing materials, identity/branding, point-of-sale and interactive among others. Clients include Choice Hotels International, The Washington Nationals, Kendall-Jackson Winery, Baileys Irish Cream and Celebrity Cruises. He currently runs his own shop out of San Francisco, CA.
Video Designer-Editor, worked as a prepress technician for InfoWorld Magazine before being recruited by Sun Microsystems as one of its web-designers. She returned to college to hone her video skills and, subsequently, hired on as an associate editor with Transvideo Studios, one of the largest web-and-video production facilities in Silicon Valley. Since the birth of her daughter, Lynne now works from home and provides freelance services to corporate, commercial and non-profit/educational clients including Camp Creative, Siebel Scholars, CreaTV/San Jose, Spirit Productions, and The Lancaster Group.
